Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Harris County (3.5 Days/28 Hrs Per Week) Reports to: RESA Director
Job Summary: *Maintains accurate, complete, and appropriate records and files reports promptly including Medicaid billing *Demonstrates accurate and up-to-date knowledge of content *Identifies students who require school-based Occupational Therapy through evaluation and by analyzing deficits in self-help, motor and sensory processing skills *Participates in IEP meetings in order to relate pertinent data used in the determination of students needs *Provides consultative services to teacher, parents, administrators and allied agencies in order to address fine motor goals into the classroom, other educational programs, and the home environment *Evaluates and reports student progress for continuation or termination of services *Participates with school administration/coordinators for effective planning, coordination and implementation of occupational therapy program into the total education system
Minimum Required Qualifications: *Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy *Must hold a valid and clear Georgia License in Occupational Therapy; a valid NOTCB certification *Proficiency in Written and Oral Communication, Planning and Organization *Prefer therapists with pediatric and school system experience and OT's with specific certifications in Pediatrics
Travel Requirements: *Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Terms of Employment: Contracted Services - 99 Days, 2020-2021 School Year
